The Burren a short film created by The Perennial Plate
I'm a big fan of the Burren in County Clare. It has a unique landscape like nowhere else in the world. I try to visit the area whenever I can.
This short film just over 7 minutes by the Perennial Plate speaks from the heart of the Burren. For the last 6,000 years, farmers in Ireland have sent their cattle up onto the limestone formations of the Burren for "Winterage" (winter grazing). It's a unique example of farming and preservation working hand in hand to maintain biodiversity, landscape and a way of life.
